Oh look. Jacques Erasmus, food star from Hemelhuijs restaurant in Cape Town, is selling packs of hand-painted, individually iced butter bikkies. I especially love the Delft-like one up top, which keeps asking me to eat it. But I just can’t. Who would be so callous as to sink their teeth into a thing as beautiful as this? Anyone? But buy some anyway. They’re much too pretty to ignore.
