If you know you won’t be popping into the Rjiksmuseum anytime soon, a look at my friend Johan Slabber’s paintings might help top you up.
I’m entranced by this painting. I love how it looks of an age beyond its years. (He painted it just the other day.) It’s begging to be popped into a gilt frame or something with a double dose of vintage.
If Fisherman’s Friend ever need to put a face to their mints or if Hemingway’s publishers need some new book covers, they really should ask for Johan’s card.
I’ll send a few more postcards of Johan’s beautiful work soon.
